Home / Services / Whole-Home Filtration

Whole-home filtration, the flagship system.

One system treats every tap in your house, softening the water and filtering out chlorine and chemicals, plus RO at the kitchen sink for drinking.

This is the system most Fargo-Moorhead metro homes need. The municipal supply uses chloramine for disinfection and carries hardness from the watershed, both of which the system addresses at your main line. Every faucet, shower, and appliance in the house gets treated water.

What's actually in it

A single tank holds four media layers, with the control valve on top and the brine (salt) tank beside it:

  • Carbon filtration removes chlorine and chemical by-products at the inlet, fixing taste and odor before water reaches the softening stage.
  • Water softening removes hardness minerals, better for hair, skin, appliances, and your water heater.
  • Support bed anchors the media layers in place.
  • Pressure vessel contains all four layers under pressure. A quality vessel here means no leaks and no premature maintenance.
The control valve is the key part. We source a quality disc valve because that is the component that sets system longevity.

How it gets installed

A professional installer connects the system at your main line. Most installs are straightforward utility room or garage jobs. If your home has a tougher setup, we tell you the adjusted price before any work starts, never after.

Maintenance is simple

Keep two to three bags of salt in the brine tank and check it every few months. Salt is widely available at hardware and grocery stores. The softener has no filters to change; it self-cleans during regeneration. The RO filters get swapped about once a year.
